Abate
jazz saxophonist, flutist, composer continues as an International Jazz/Recording
Artist with 150 days a year touring the globe. In the mid 70’s after finishing
a four year program at Berklee College Of Music, Greg played lead alto for
the Ray Charles Orchestra for 2 years. In the 1980's Greg ventured out as
post hard bop soloist playing Jazz Festivals, Jazz Societies and Jazz Clubs
throughout the U.S. Canada and abroad, including most of Europe, UK, and
Moscow and Georgia Russia. Greg is also an adjunct professor of Jazz Studies
at Rhode Island College and is also a very active jazz educator known well
to us in teignmouth

Jim Blomfield Trio Having
met on the hotbed of talent that is the Bristol music scene, the trio provide
an ideal mix of rhythmic tightness combined with creative and spontaneous
improvisation.
Jim Blomfield (paino) Since moving to Bristol in 1991 Jim Blomfield
has established himself as one of the South West's premier pianists, composing
and performing with his own groups as well as being an integral part of
many of Bristol's finest jazz and Latin projects. Numerous nationwide appearances
have included London's Ronnie Scott's Club, the Jazz Cafe, and Edinburgh
and Glastonbury festivals. A recent solo performance at St. George's in
Bristol prompted the Independent on Sunday to say "Jim Blomfield is a
marvel".
Riaan Vosloo (bass) Having completed a Masters qualification at the
Royal Academy in 2005, Riaan Vosloo is becoming one of the busiest players
on the London scene. He also works with award winning pianist Mathew Bourne,
groove band Nostalgia 77 and has recorded with percussion superstar Trilok
Gurtu. "Bassist Riaan Vosloo is the rock around which everyone else swirls"

Andy Tween (drums) Having emerged from the jazz course at the Guildhall
School of Music, Andy Tween has quickly established himself as a much in
demand player known for his tight grooves, creativity and versatility. A
very busy national and international touring schedule has seen him appearing
with Pee Wee Ellis and acclaimed folk singer songwriter Seth Lakeman.
