Roy Pellett Swingtet with Terry Sloggett

Roy Pellett's Swingtet, a classic small group swing band, plays the popular music of the twenties and thirties, especially Cole Porter and George Gershwin, from the 'Great American Songbook'. Roy (clarinet & vocals) has played in the bands of Max Collie, Bob Wallis and Rod Mason and led his own band in the 1970s, before sixteen years of masterminding Radio 2's Jazz Score. Joining Roy will be Eddie Edwards (banjo) - started playing with Roy in the 60's, Peter Cox (drums) - played theatres, clubs, hotels and cruise ships and many BBC broadcasts, and Peter Furnish (bass) - many TV and radio recordings and teaches improvisation. The Swingtet features Terry Sloggett (alto sax) who has spent his working life playing and teaching music and spent 5 years as musical director on P&O cruises.
