Rhona Clark Duo

A teenage vocalist in the Torbay 60s 'beat group' scene, by the age of 24 Rhona led her first piano trio in London, playing nightclub residencies like the Blue Angel in Berkeley Square and the Piccadilly Pigalle. A 10-year stint in Jersey saw her singing alongside jazz festival visitors like Roy Williams and Kenny Wheeler. She recently joined up with Kevin Sanders to explore their own take on standards and her own material. Favourite artists include Bill Evans and Shirley Horn. Kevin Sanders has worked with some of the best musicians and soloists around, including singer Clare Teal and legendary saxophonist Pete King, and recorded with musicians as diverse as the Levellers and award-winning Korean classical pianist Ingrid Wu. As well as numerous BBC radio and television sessions, Kevin has for the last four years been Head of Bass Studies for eight music academies around the country.
