Luciano
Luca Luciano in concert Luca, clarinettist and composer, is a classically
trained Italian virtuoso resident in London and Professor of both jazz and
classical Clarinet at the Leeds College of Music.
He starts his career at a very young age (only twelve) performing at one
of the most prestigious and ancient concert-halls of his home town Naples.
He is mainly active as a soloist touring extensively in the UK and Europe.
His technique and knowledge of both the jazz and the classical repertoire
has resulted in TV performances and several studio recordings.
Luca will be joined by pianist Paolo Losi. Having studied jazz piano in
Milan before moving to London in 1994, he has been very active within the
UK music scene collaborating with David Jean-Baptiste, Jazz Arc, Tony Kofi,
Zongo and others for a number of performances including the Queen Elizabeth
Hall, Birmingham Centre, Bath Festival. He has been collaborating with Luca
for the past couple of years including performances at St James's Piccadilly
and the National Theatre of London.
