Jawa Musique

During the 1980's pianist and composer John Walter was based in Bristol and ran a number of bands from duo to nonet which included such luminaries as Gerry Underwood, Paul Dunmall and Andy Sheppard.

After moving to Devon his focus shifted to teaching and World Music styles and more recently to running a very successful company DrumCrazy Ltd which employs a team of facilitators running hand drum and percussion workshops all over the country.

Jawa Musique, John (piano/percussion), Neil Maya (saxophones), Marcus Vergette (bass), Ben Burrow (drums/percussion) and Peter Scott (guitar/percussion), brings together the jazz background and the world music skills in original compositions that refuse to sit still in either category.

Expect everything from luscious ballads to groove based pieces that cry out to be danced to.
