Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band

This is probably the craziest band in the world! Led by Bob Kerr (cornet, soprano sax, baritone sax, trombone, guitar, banjo, euphonium, teapot & vocals), who has travelled the world with his music. His credentials are second to none, having served his apprentiship with such luminary bands as The Temperance Seven, The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and the New Vaudeville Band.

Joining Bob is Professor Percival (clarinet, alto sax, musical saw magician, motor horns, general noises and the odd vocal) who's zany antics will amaze you. He is the Stephane Grappelli of the Musical Saw. As a graphic designer he has worked for Walt Disney and Jim Henson (Muppet Show). He designs and makes most of the Whoopee Props.

Malcolm Sked (sousaphone, bass guitar, tuba & trombone) is the world's leading dancing Sousaphone player. There is more to this man than meets the eye, his musical talents are seemingly endless.

Bert Lamb (piano, electric keyboards & banjo) started playing banjo and progressed to piano and has never looked back (he daren't). Bert has played with The Kenny Ball Band and Pete Allen band. He is a great accompanist as well as a great stride piano player.

Henri Harrison (drums, tubular bells and an array of percussion noises) is the long time leader of the New Vaudeville Band and mate of Bob's for some 40 odd years.

You can expect the kind of madcap comedy that used to be the speciality of the America band leader Spike Jones - blink and you'll miss something. With hilarious musical jokes, visual gags and 1920's jazz on amphetamine, a rare treasure not to be missed.
